Thousands of cyclists and mountain bikers visit North Wales to enjoy some of the best cycling that the UK has to offer.
Mountain bikers can enjoy panoramic views across mountains, lakes, forests and valleys and challenge themselves on the rugged terrain of Snowdonia.
Families with cyclists of varied abilities can join parts of the Wales Coast Path and explore our seaside and coastal areas on a mostly flat, traffic free cycle path.
Whatever your level of cycling ability North Wales is the perfect place for bike enthusiasts to visit!
20 miles | 1hr 45 min along the Wales Coastal Path
This route is perfect for exploring North Wales’ seaside towns. There are plenty of places to stop along the route.
You can stop for a drink at one of the kiosks on Pensarn Beach and admire Grwych Castle in the distance. Or continue on to Rhos on Sea and relax on the 3.5 miles of Blue Flag beach.
Your route will end at the “Queen of Resorts” in Llandudno – we’d definitely recommend enjoying an ice cream here after your bike ride!
12 miles | 1hr 7 min along the Wales Coastal Path
This cycle path starts at the other side of Llandudno on West Shore Beach.
Our favourite part of this route is cycling through Deganwy and the view across the estuary to Conwy Castle. You will then cross the bridge in to Conwy giving you an even closer look at the incredible medieval fortress!
Once you leave Conwy you will be cycling with a great view of the beach on one side and the mountains behind Penmaenmawr on the other.
30 minutes from Tan Rallt Holiday Park
Not exactly a route, but a visit to Marsh Tracks in Rhyl is a must for mountain bike and BMX enthusiasts!
Directly behind our sister park, Marine Holiday Park, Marsh Tracks has lots of exciting tracks on offer.
Coaching and bike hire are available and they also host many events through the year.
