TR Travel Tip Best Pancakes in North Wales
North Wales’ Top Places to Celebrate Pancake Day

Celebrate Pancake Day with our Top 5 Pancakes in North Wales

Travel North wales and visit us at Tan Rallt. We’re so excited as it’s only 5 days to go until our 2020 season starts AND we get pancakes.

Where does the best pancakes in North Wales we hear you say?

Well, we don’t like to pick favourites because North Wales has an amazing range of fantastic bars, cafes and restaurants. We’ll be sharing a couple of these with you every Tuesday as part of our new TR Travel Tips blog series that we be up on our website soon!

But just to get you started… here’s our five favourite pancake stops, all less than 30 minutes from park with an opportunity to travel North Wales’ coastline.

Travel North Wales: The Dutch Pancake House, Conwy Water Gardens, Rowen

This one is perfect if you’re looking for an afternoon out off park! Tucked away in the stunning Conwy Water Gardens this Pancake House hasover 65 different types of sweet and savoury pancakes on the menu! (We’re big fans of the bacon, cheese & leek one, but the Welsh Beauty Special is delicious too!) Still not sold? The kids will love watching the otters frolicing next door.

Roots Cafe, Abergele

Travel North Wales: Just down the road in Abergele, Roots is a great organic cafe. Today they’ve got a load of pancake specials on the menu, but we’re also big fans of their normal breakfast menu and it’s so close it feels rude not to pop in! It’s also got a great range of veggie and vegan options too!

Hickorys Smokehouse, Rhos-on-Sea

Have you ever looked at a stack of pancakes or a waffle and thought “You know what this is missing? Fried chicken and maple syrup” then you need to head to Hickory’s pronto. Travel North Wales with an American feel. This American style steak house does some pretty unique breakfast options if you fancy something a little different! And Paris & Sam have both taste tested the Fried Chicken Waffles for you and can confirm they’re an excellent choice! Book a table online here.

Dylan’s, Llandudno

During your travel North Wales, if you fancy your pancakes with a side of sea view, the Llandudno branch of North Wales chain Dylan’s is right on the prom. Not only do you have a great view you can also finish off your pancake trip with a walk along the beach!

The Looking Glass Ice Cream Parlour, Llandudno

For those of you with a sweet tooth, we definitely recommend popping over to the newly refurbished Looking Glass Ice Cream Parlour in Llandudno! They serve delicious desserts throughout the year, but today it’s all about they’re pancakes – and they even do a special Pancake Day Late Night Opening until 8pm!

Any top pancake spots that we missed?
