Happy St David’s Day

It’s the first day of the 2022 season and we’re thrilled to welcome our holiday home owners back to Tan Rallt for a fantastic season!

We’ve made it through a very stormy winter and can’t wait for spring and all of the exciting new plans that we have for 2022.

We know that our holiday home owners are really excited to get back to their home away from home, so we thought we’d put together a handy guide on what to do on your first visit back to Tan Rallt!

1. Check the Outside of Your Holiday Home

Our team have done checks following the heavy storms earlier this month, but it’s still a good idea to check your holiday home over as soon as you arrive! Clear all the leaves out of the gutters to stop any unnecessary leaks and if your holiday home doesn’t have a galvanised chassis, check that too to see if it needs repainting!

Then set out your patio or garden furniture – perfect for you to relax on later!

2. Switch on Your Water

Very important for your heating, to check your showers and taps and of course to make a cup of tea once your done!

3. Check Your Appliances

Because it’s been a few months since you’ve been in your holiday home you will want to check that all the appliances are working as they should. These are the main things you will want to check are still working; heating, hot water and showers, washing machine, wifi, TV, smoke alarm, lights, microwave, oven, kettle, toilet.

Don’t forget your TV aerial or external WiFi transmitter may have been moved in the wind!

4. Check Your Smoke Alarms

Don’t forget to check your carbon monoxide detectors too! This is also a great time to check your fire extinguisher and fire blanket.

5. Pop in to Reception and Say Hi!
