North Wales Instagram Hot Spots

North Wales has been voted by leading travel guide Lonely Planet as the best place to visit in the UK, with much of this down to its stunning scenery and views. Instagram is a great way to get the best pictures when it comes to scenery, so here are Tan Rallt’s most Instagramable locations in North Wales.

Aber Falls
The Aber Falls is formed as the Afon Goch drops 120 feet over igneous rock into the Carneddau range. The water trickles through the natural filtering rocks of the stream, passing under carefully placed walkways and bridges, letting you get plenty of angles for a perfect waterfall shot!

Porthdinllaen Beach
With rock pools, a broad stretch of light sand and seas which are
vibrantly blue, Porthdinllaen is perfect for your perfect Insta post. Based within a natural harbour and cove, the beach looks stunningly vibrant on bright days and offers a handsome ruggedness on darker days.

Cambrian Hills
Tan Rallt has panoramic views of the Cambrian Hills, one of North Wales most aesthetically pleasing mountain ranges. With various lakes, walk paths and viewpoints, the Cambrian Hills offer plenty in terms of picturesque photography.

Ogwen Valley
Based within the Ogwen Trail, the Ogwen Valley is a stunning valley offering waterfalls streaming into still waters. Although parts are only accessible through rock climbing, there is still plenty of stunning views through the walk paths leading onto one of North Wales’ most breath-taking views.

Swallow Falls
Designated as one of North Wales’ “Area of Outstanding Beauty” with the river Llugwy flowing through a narrow channel forming a stunning waterfall. With a back drop of forestry abundant with wildlife, Swallow Falls is perfect for a snap in both the summer and winter.

Conwy Castle
Based on a backdrop of mountains and a sweeping coastline, Conwy Castle links the two with its 13th Century architecture. Offering both medieval charm and natural scenery, Conwy Castle is always a great afternoon out (and Insta post!).
